How can I disable Sitecom Cloud Security?

How can I disable Sitecom Cloud Security?

The free 6-month trial period is automatically activated the first time you go online with your new Sitecom router with Sitecom Cloud Security. If you do not wish to benefit from this security, you can disable this functionality at any time. This also applies to a purchased Sitecom Cloud Security subscription; you can also disable this on the router at any moment.

Please note that the activated period will continue to run in the cloud! Sitecom recommends that you always keep this functionality enabled on your router, because this will ensure that all connected devices are protected against viruses and phishing, among other things. This is in contrast to software, which only runs on a specific device.

You can disable Sitecom Cloud Security in your router's Settings menu (Graphical User Interface). The device (desktop PC, notebook, tablet) you use to access the Settings menu must be connected to the router. This can be either a wired or a wireless connection. Follow the steps below:

1. Open a web browser, such as Internet Explorer or Safari.

2. Type the following address in the address bar http://sitecom.router (or http://192.168.0.1) and press Enter.

3. Log in with your username and password. For the user name, enter “admin” (lowercase). The password can be found on the bottom of the router or in the Network Login Details flyer that may have been supplied with it.
